Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, Supports Researchers in Securing External Funding Through "High-Potential Researcher Promotion Project"
June 25, 2025 – At the Innovation Room, Integrated Learning and Practice Building 2, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, is advancing its efforts to elevate the potential of Thai researchers by organizing the "High-Potential Researcher Promotion Project for External Funding, Fiscal Year 2025." The project aims to equip faculty researchers with the necessary knowledge and enhance their opportunities to access research funding from both domestic and international, public and private sources. This initiative seeks to drive high-quality research that contributes to national development.
Associate Professor Dr. Wullapa Wongsilatam, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, presided over the opening ceremony. Assistant Professor Dr. Chinnawut Pipatpanukul, Director of the Human Resources and Institutional Strategy (IU6) Unit, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), served as the guest speaker, imparting valuable knowledge during the event.
Research and innovation are considered crucial foundations for driving the nation's economy, society, and knowledge base. Creating impactful and internationally recognized research requires highly capable researchers coupled with sufficient funding. Therefore, this project focuses on developing essential skills, fostering networking, and supporting the research proposal development process to increase the chances of securing external research grants. This project aligns with the approach of developing researcher competencies through processes tailored to the experience of each individual group, especially new researchers who may begin with training, conducting research, or joining research teams with senior researchers.
The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies anticipates that the "High-Potential Researcher Promotion Project for External Funding, Fiscal Year 2025" will be a significant step in enhancing the competitiveness of Thai researchers, fostering valuable research outcomes, and contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.
