Orientation for New Students of the Master of Political Science Program: Fostering "Leaders for Change" While Building Bonds Between Seniors and Juniors.

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Innovation Park Room, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, the Master of Political Science Program in Politics and International Relations held the "New Student Orientation Project for Academic Year 2026" to prepare and warmly welcome new students into the university.

The event began with an introduction of the program's faculty members, who serve as experts guiding students throughout their studies. The occasion was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Natthayanee Chantapalaboon, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, who officially welcomed the new students and delivered words of guidance for their graduate-level studies.

The highlight of this orientation was a special lecture on the topic "Leaders for Change," delivered by Dr. Somkiat Trakulfarmthawat, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior. He shared valuable experiences and perspectives on driving social and political change in the contemporary era, inspiring new students and igniting their thinking on how to apply political science knowledge to contribute to the nation's future development.

In addition, the event featured comprehensive presentations on the Master of Political Science curriculum and available learning support resources, covering registration procedures, class schedules, and modern teaching and learning approaches. Students were also given the opportunity to freely ask questions, ensuring a clear understanding and full readiness to pursue their studies to the best of their abilities.

Toward the end of the program, a "Political Science Master's Networking Activity" was organized, bringing together students from the 1st and 2nd cohorts to engage in activities that fostered a network of collaboration and friendship between senior and junior students. The event concluded with a group photograph, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phartthanan Taladsup, Chairperson of the Master of Political Science Program.
