Sports and Exercise Science Program, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Hosts Knowledge-Sharing Event, Inviting Alumni "Elite Trainer" to Share Career Techniques and Inspire Junior Students.
On September 11, 2026, the Sports and Exercise Science, Innovation and Health Program, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, continued its efforts to strengthen students' potential and readiness before entering the real world of work by organizing a knowledge-exchange activity between alumni and current students via an online system at the INNOVATION PARK Room, Learning and Practice Building 2, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. The event focused on conveying direct experience from a professional in the health and fitness industry.
This discussion was honored by the presence of Mr. Phuwanat Buttarat, or "Coach Lion," an alumnus of the Sports Science, Innovation and Health Program, Class 10, who currently serves as an Elite Trainer under Fitness and Lifestyle Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., at the Jetts Robinson Ratchapruek branch, as the special guest speaker. The speaker possesses specialized expertise in various areas, including bodybuilding, corrective exercise, resistance training, strength and fitness development, TRX suspension training, as well as weight management. He also holds internationally recognized certifications, such as the Personal Trainer Certification from NASM, Basic Life Support/CPR certification, and sports massage certification.
Throughout the activity, the speaker shared essential techniques for job interviews and self-presentation for opportunities in weight training careers. He highlighted how knowledge gained from various courses—such as anatomy, exercise physiology, and weight training principles—can be leveraged to build unique personal strengths. Systematically translating theory into practical application will help students clearly explain the mechanisms and benefits of exercise during job interviews. He emphasized that the essence of being a professional trainer lies not only in teaching skills learned from textbooks, but also in cultivating a trustworthy personality, effective communication, and accurate, precise, and continuously updated health knowledge.
Additionally, Coach Lion provided updates on current fitness trends and directions, particularly the growing global popularity of HYROX competitions, to help students stay informed about changes in the modern fitness market. He also shared his career journey experiences to inspire and spark motivation among junior students in discovering their goals, as well as to prepare them to become quality professionals in the field of sports science in the future.
