On June 14, 2026, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, organized the New Graduate Student Orientation Project for Academic Year 2026 at Room NK 2302/2, 3rd Floor, Combined Classroom and Laboratory Building 1. The event aimed to prepare students and foster positive relationships among students, faculty members, and staff.

The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattayanee Chantaphalaboon, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, who delivered a welcome address and congratulated the newly admitted students on their selection to become part of Khon Kaen University — the first higher education institution in the Northeastern region of Thailand. The Vice Dean expressed appreciation for the students' dedication and determination, offered guidance on graduate-level studies, and emphasized the importance of making the most of their time at the university — in terms of academic achievement, personal development, and participation in activities — in order to advance toward becoming experts in their chosen fields of study.

The event was filled with a warm and friendly atmosphere, featuring relationship-building activities including "IS Connect" and "IS Welcome Challenge", a fun quiz competition with prizes for participants. In addition, special lectures were delivered to introduce essential services and information systems for graduate students, with kind contributions from Ms. Aree Insao, Senior Academic Officer, and Ms. Kanokwan Chin-on, Senior Librarian, who served as speakers providing valuable information to the students. The final segment of the program consisted of orientation sessions separated by field of study, allowing students to meet their faculty advisors and receive in-depth details about their respective programs.

This orientation project marks a significant starting point in preparing new graduate students of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies to adapt smoothly and successfully to academic life within Khon Kaen University. Translate by Cluade.
